This is my interpretation of a Zigboom docklet, that shows free space on 2 selected disc drives.
Added 3 news sensors: % disc activity (red), % reading (blue) and writing (green).
Also be added a gradient color (blue-purple -red) for monitoring the excessive usage of your Hard Drive:
blue < 70%, 70%< purple <85%, red >85%.
Using large size disc the % usage is not visible, in Overlays panel edit "percentuale Glow" and move it (or disable).

Numerical Battery Meter

This battery meter is a simple numerical display of the percentage of battery power you have left. The blue bar below the percentage is a graphical display of the battery power.

I wanted something with a minimalist design, but was unable to find anything like this. So, I created it!

It's my first docklet, so please leave comments.

MSN Status 1.0

A desklet that shows you your current MSN messenger status. Also launches MSN messenger when you click it. Use with SysStats 2.5.11.

Does NOT require Windows messenger. Tested with Windows Xp SP2, with Windows messenger removed from the Add/Remove windows programs in the control panel.

Ambient

An odd little widget. Basically just plays a media file on an endless loop. It also stops playing the media file if you are away from your PC (like if the screensaver is on or you have switched to a different user). So it is intended to be used to play ambient sounds.

Requires SysStats 2.5.11 or greater.

To install for AveDesk save the download and double-click it. For ObjectDock save the download. Rename it as a ZIP file and unzip into your ObjectDock folder.

Instructions for use are in the screenshot.

You can get ambient sounds from lots of places, i.e. FreeSound or NaturesMusic, though the widget comes with one. Use audacity for editing.

Countdown Timer

A timer. Use it for, well, timing things. Requires SysStats 2.5.11 or greater.

There is a font in .../dockelts/sysstats/fonts you should install.

To install the widget for AveDesk download and double-click. To install for ObjectDock, download, rename .aveinst to .zip and then unzip into your objectdock folder.

Instructions for use are in the screenshot.

BTW this is a great site for free sound clips.

you can configure him to be your RAM,cpu,hdd anything else youd like him to be.(by default hs your CPU)
(try grabbing him and giving him a spin)

most of the time he'll just smile as he likes to do 10 to 15% of work,if there isnt any work to do,then he'll feel bored n will be sad,if u give him too much work,he'll get surprised and very angry if u stress him out too much

Inspired by the marvelous graphic design of Mark Randall. The WATERmark series of docklets were originally designed for konfabulator (Yahoo! Widgets).

I really want to thank again Mark Randall for the permission to do this conversion to Avedesk - Sysstats.

Feel free to change the rotation angle in the sysstats "Configure" menu and the transparency (alpha) in the Avedesk menu to give a better look to the docklet.

PowerOffXP - a simple tool for shutdown, log off, restart and delayed shutdown..

Hi there -

this is another desklet for AveDesk I'm working on.
It can shut down/log off/restart/send your computer to sleep on a single click by starting the XP-built-in shutdown.exe!

HOW TO USE:
-----------------------
Doubleclick POXP.aveinst while AveDesk is running - That's it:

By pressing one of the 4 arrows on the button the program starts. Hovering over them will show you what they do (Used Mouse Move controller).

(However the built-in applicaton isn't too powerful:
As far as I know it will really power off your computer only if your motherboard supports it)

I myself don't use the built-in shutdown.exe, I'm using PowerOff 3 - a free program available at
http://users.pandora.be/jbosman/applications.html
which will really power off your beloved one ;O) and has got a lot more options.
THIS SHOULD ALSO WORK ON NON-XP MACHINES!

Like the shutdown.exe it can be controlled by command lines and therefore is easy to integrate in the desklet.

HOW IT WORKS (If you want/have to change settings):
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Right click the desklet, press "Configure..." and go to the tab "Controllers". There are 4 shortcut controllers called "Shutdown", "Sleep", "Restart" and "LogOff".

If you want, you can change their settings by marking them and pressing "configure".

They all point to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe".
In the argument field you'll find the extensions telling XP what to do:

-s will shutdown your computer ("Shutdown")
-s -t 300 will shutdown your computer after a delay of 300 seconds ("Sleep") - you can change the time delay to whatever value you like in seconds.
-r will restart your computer ("Restart")
-l is for logging off ("LogOff")
-i opens a shutdown dialog (not the one you normally get with XP)

There are more options available for the XP-built-in application - open a command line (prompt) and type "shutdown /?" for details.

ISSUES:
-----------
- If you didn't install Windows on C:\ (it is possible!), you have to change the Path of the 4 shortcut controllers to point to your shutdown.exe...

- If nothing seems to happen, either the Path is wrong or your computer just needs some time to shutdown - there won't be any confirmation dialog or similar that shows you the program started! You can check however by setting one of the arguments to -i. A dialog should show up at once...

- If you don't like the "sunken in" look of the desklet, right click it, choose "Configure..." and go to "Overlays". By marking "Emboss", unckecking the field "Visible" and then marking "Shadow", checking "Visible" you can give it a "hovering over the desktop" look.

- If you wonder about the small buttons that can be seen in the preview when installing - I want to include a skin without the "Mouse Move" controller in future:
I myself have problems with it on older (well, very old) machines. This might be based on having problems with AveDesk at all on these machines...

- If you want to use "PowerOff 3" like me (or a similar program controlled by command lines), all you have to do is to change the path and arguments of the 4 shortcut controllers mentioned above:
"....\poweroff.exe" with arguments "shutdown -..." depending on what you want to do - there is a documentation included with the program, there are quite a lot of options...

Curved Bar - a tabbed launch bar for AveDesk...

First release of "Curved Bar" -
thanks to Dreadnaut and Judge who did the difficult part of it:
Dreadnaut made the group (toggle) effectlets and Judge the SysStats vbs-script for it and the controls: I only did the "rough part" of the config, Judge did the fine-tuning for me!

IMPORTANT:
YOU NEED �GID Script� AND �G-Toggle" effectlet BY DREADNAUT AND SYSSTATSBY JUDGE FOR IT TO WORK!!

2. Doubleclick "Curved Bar.aveinst" while AveDesk is running for install
3. Combine your Pidl-Shortcuts into groups 1 - 4 (Rightclick a shortcut and set the GID effectlet) - see pics in the help file.
- It's already working now! -
4. Rename the tabs if you want (System, Tools, etc might not be the naming you like)

Laptop Weather

I figured the world can never have too many weather widgets. So here's another one. Instructions for use are in the screenshot.

To use, first make sure you install AveDesk and SysStats, then download this and double-click it.

The weather images are called 'True Weather' and are by 'calisto', his readme is included in the download. I have been unable to contact him for permission to use them as the addresses he gives no longer work, so if he sees this and wants me to remove the widget I will.

Display Flickr streams. The screenshot gives you instructions.

You will need at least version 2.5.9 of SysStats for this and you will need to have msxml4 installed. To install SysStats quit AveDesk/ObjectDock. Download the ZIP and unzip it into your AveDesk/ObjectDock folder. Then re-run AveDesk/ObjectDock.

Then to install this desklet, save the download somewhere and double-click it.
